When a leading manufacturer of air pollution control products and solutions needed a custom, heavy-duty control damper, it entrusted AWV to provide it flawlessly.
The manufacturer needed to ensure one of its regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO) units met strict Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. AWV was relied on to develop a product that could not only withstand temperatures as hot as 1200 degrees Fahrenheit but also maintain a leakage rate of 1%. In order to do so, AWV’s engineering team needed to replicate the damper’s real-world environment and thoroughly test a realistic prototype of the product within it.
Based on end-use application, AWV engineers used the company’s standard VC-51 Rectangular Flange Volume Control Damper for the prototype’s foundation.
